The Vineyards

With our clear conviction that wines are made in the vineyard, a lot of time was spent searching forunique vineyards that could provide us with exceptional grapes.

We traveled all over, kilometers and kilometers throughout the region, until we finally found five very specific and unique areas, from where we could draw the true nature of the great Castilla y León wine region. The first zone that we started working with (beginning in 1998), is located in the town of Baños de Valdearados in the province of Burgos, in the Ribera del Duero D.O. The second region is located in the province of Segovia, in the hills near the Caserío de San José region, in the Valtiendas D.O. The third area is located in the province of Zamora in the town of San Román de Hornija, a town located in the Toro D.O. The fourth region located in the town of Trigueros del Valle, a town in the Cigales D.O. The fifth area is located near Gumiel del Mercado, a town also located in the Ribera del Duero D.O.
